Dr Oluwasegun Eniayewu is a senior lecturer at the Department of Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry, University of Ilorin. He holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm), Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy (Pharmaceutical Chemistry) degrees from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria. He is a West African Postgraduate College of Pharmacists (WAPCP) Public Health fellow. He is a recipient of the CROI 2020 young investigator scholarship and the 2022 Applied Pharmacometrics Training Fellowship. Previous projects involved the development and validation of bioanalytical methods to quantify antiretroviral disposition in biological fluids (plasma and cervicovaginal fluids), a drug-drug interaction study and the impact of pregnancy and host genetics on drug exposure during pregnancy using clinical and in-silico studies. A major focus of his current research involves the use of human-relevant in-vitro models to understand drug disposition. He has relevant publications in high-impact national and international peer-reviewed journal outlets.
